| Of which I will be dynoing 3 vehicles and tuning them via the Zemulator. Today is the day I find out if I'm as sly as I really think I am. =) I could just be very convincing talking all kinds of smack - so convincing I even believe it.... So today is the day. This will be performed on a DynoJet with a wideband O2 monitor. The Zemulator and ConZult will both be used to datalog the pulls and fine tune the map parameters. I'm not sure if we will have time today, perhaps I'll make another appointment for next week, but I want to also build race fuel maps for the different cars too. I at least want to get in on pump fuel, dyno the cars and flatten the fuel curves and squeeze out some strong numbers. The three vehicles being tested and tuned will be:
Kai Berenstein, NA Z. Pulled a 14.7s 1/4mi pass here a month ago running my ECU at stage3 upgrades. I figure we've been ranting and raving about his car so much we just need to see what kind of HP its putting down.. Dustin Lotz, TTZ. Stage3, stock turbos, stock engine, stock injectors, stock IC's. He has a freshened up stock engine (rebuilt with stock parts) so it should be good for accurate numbers. The third will be my own car. On all three cars I will also be performing a pull using the JWT ECU upgrade for cross comparisons. Several additional people will be there to document this event with a digital video camera and digital stillframe pictures. I will be posting the results later this evening for everyone's review. I want to make sure everyone realizes that although I am setting up the mappings for these cars, I will not be running the dyno machine myself or have anything to do with that system. I dont want anyone thinking I am staging some elaborate hoax here so I am bringing other people in, with video and stillframe pics to document the Zemulator, ConZult and some really hardcore EFI tuning. I will post the results as soon as I can get back to the house and upload them - the videos will have to be mpg'd and I will put them up as soon as they are available.
